The Low Voltage Rescue certification program provides information and guided practice that will enable both experienced first aiders and new first aiders with the skills necessary to demonstrate competence to the minimum national certification standards that meet UETDRMP018 Unit of Competency and to lay the foundation skills of new operators so that they can improve their skills and proficiency whilst undertaking Low Voltage Resue situations.

Learning Modules

  • Conduct Risk Assessments.
  • Isolation of ignition sources.
  • Resue protocols. Conduct D-R-S-A-B-C-D principles.
  • Basic LVR/CPR methods.
  • Recovery and stabilization of the Injured Person.
  • Raising the alarm and call for help.

At the successful completion of this course, Candidate will receive the Statement of Attainment and a wallet-size card* inclusive of the Nationally Accredited course information, student name and course attended date.

Training Details

Course Times:

Online with a practical face to face component is subject to change with the candidate having the ability to finalise their training at our premises. Theory online 1-2 hours, Practical 1 hour.

Face to Face delivery at our offices allow 4 hours, delivery times and dates subject to class numbers.

The LVR rescue has a companion course (CPR) run at the same time. Both courses will take 8-9 hours combined. Start time at our office is 07:00 to 17:00

Age Requirements:

All learners must be at least 15 years of age.

Literacy and Numeracy:

Participants must have a basic level of English proficiency (written and verbal communication). Numeracy Participants require the knowledge of how to use a calculator.

Course Delivery:

Face to Face training and assessment in a simulated workplace environment.

What to bring:

1 Photo ID and 1 Secondary ID, Current WorkSafe Licence Card (if any) (e.g. Driver’s Licence, Passport (current or expired being no more than 2 years from the expiry date), WA proof of age card or other Australian Government issued ID card with photo) AND (e.g. Medicare Card, current credit card or ATM card, telephone, gas, electricity account not more than 12 months old).

Clothing:

Long sleeve shirt, long pants and enclosed shoes.
